Privacy Policy
Relationship to the Terms of Service
This Privacy Policy explains how My Hometown Service Pros LLC, operating the Florida Contractor Edge brand (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information in connection with Florida Contractor Edge (“FCE” or the “Service”). The Terms of Service incorporate this Privacy Policy by reference. If the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy conflict regarding the processing of personal information, this Privacy Policy controls as to that subject.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you access and use the Service:
- Account information you provide, such as name, email address, company name, selected user role, login credentials or authentication records, and account preferences.
- Inputs and usage data, including the queries, prompts, workflows, files, documents, comments, feedback, and other materials you submit to the Service; AI-generated outputs associated with your account; features used; usage limits; access-code redemption records; and acknowledgment records, including disclaimer-acknowledgment date-and-time stamps and version information.
- Subscription, payment, billing, cancellation, refund, renewal, and access-code records, including plan selected, price, billing frequency, renewal term, payment status, checkout disclosures presented, consent records, and related transaction information.
- Support and communication information, including emails, support requests, survey responses, feedback, marketing preferences, subscription notices, renewal notices, cancellation confirmations, and other communications between you and us.
- Technical, device, security, and session information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referral source, session identifiers, log data, approximate location derived from IP address, authentication events, error logs, and other information used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- Cookie, analytics, and similar-technology information, as described in Section 4.
“Inputs” means the prompts, questions, information, documents, text, data, files, comments, feedback, or other materials you submit to the Service. Because the Service relates to construction codes, permitting, zoning, contracts, lien matters, and related business workflows, Inputs may include project information, property information, customer information, contract materials, permit records, building-department communications, insurance-related information, and other business-confidential or third-party information.
You should not submit confidential, privileged, regulated, sensitive, or third-party personal information unless you have the right and authority to do so and understand how that information may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and secure the Service;
- generate AI-assisted analysis, research summaries, reference-identification support, and draft-support outputs in response to your Inputs;
- manage your account, authentication, subscription, billing, access codes, renewals, refunds, cancellations, and plan limits;
- record your acceptance of the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, auto-renewal authorization, subscription disclosures, checkout terms, cancellation records, and in-Service disclaimer acknowledgments;
- provide customer support, respond to questions, troubleshoot issues, process deletion or access requests, and communicate with you about your account or the Service;
- send administrative, transactional, subscription, renewal, cancellation, security, legal, and price-change notices;
- send marketing or educational communications where permitted, subject to your available unsubscribe and preference choices;
- detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, misuse of access codes, violations of usage limits, and violations of the Terms of Service;
- debug, test, evaluate, analyze, and improve the Service, including product quality, reliability, security, user experience, support workflows, and business operations;
- create aggregated, de-identified, or statistical information that does not reasonably identify you; and
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, consumer-protection, dispute-resolution, security, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train Company-owned or third-party AI models unless we disclose that use and obtain any consent required by law or by product-specific settings made available through the Service. We may use Inputs, Outputs, and usage data for ordinary debugging, support, safety, security, abuse prevention, quality evaluation, analytics, product development, and operation of the Service as described in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
3. Third-Party AI Processing and Service Providers
To provide and operate the Service, the Inputs you submit, related usage data, and other information may be transmitted to and processed by third-party providers, including:
- AI model providers, including Anthropic (Claude), to generate analysis and other outputs in response to your queries;
- web-search, browsing, citation, or reference providers used by the Service to identify or check sources and current references;
- hosting, application, database, storage, and infrastructure providers, including Supabase and Vercel (application hosting), located in the United States;
- payment and billing providers, including Stripe, which processes subscription payments and related billing data;
- analytics, logging, error-monitoring, security, and fraud-prevention providers used to operate and protect the Service;
- communications, email, support, CRM, or marketing-automation providers used to send account notices, support communications, educational content, and permitted marketing communications; and
- other service providers reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, support, analyze, or improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Payment-card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored by the Company on its own systems. Service providers process information to perform services for us or as otherwise described in their applicable service terms, data-processing terms, or privacy notices.
We may maintain a current list of key service providers or subprocessors in the Service, in this Privacy Policy, or by other reasonable means, and we update this section when material providers change.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, log files, analytics tools, email-tracking technologies, and similar technologies to operate, secure, measure, and improve the Service and related websites.
These technologies may be used for:
- essential functions, such as login sessions, authentication, account security, billing flow, fraud prevention, and remembering preferences;
- analytics and performance measurement, such as understanding page usage, feature usage, errors, referral sources, and product performance;
- communications measurement, such as whether administrative, educational, or marketing emails were delivered, opened, or clicked; and
- marketing, advertising, referral tracking, or remarketing, if those tools are enabled for the Service or related websites.
As of the Effective Date, our marketing website at fc-edge.com is built on GoDaddy Website Builder, which uses cookies to analyze website traffic, and it uses Google reCAPTCHA on contact forms to reduce spam and abuse; your interaction with reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms. The website displays a cookie notice with options to accept or decline non-essential cookies. The FCE application itself uses cookies and similar technologies primarily for essential functions such as login, authentication, and session management.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect Service functionality. If we use advertising or remarketing technologies that trigger additional notice, consent, or opt-out rights under applicable law, we will provide the required disclosures and choices before or when those technologies are used.
As of the Effective Date, we do not sell personal information for monetary payment. If we later share personal information for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or similar advertising purposes as those terms may be defined by applicable state privacy laws, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide legally required choices.
5. Data Storage and Security
Account data, usage logs, acknowledgment records, feedback, and related Service records are stored using managed database, hosting, infrastructure, and application providers, including Supabase and Vercel (application hosting), hosted in the United States unless otherwise disclosed. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under its own security and compliance controls.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, which may include access controls, authentication controls, encryption in transit, credential protection, logging, security monitoring, row-level security where implemented, and vendor-management practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we determine that a security incident requires notice to affected users, regulators, or other parties, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. We may also suspend accounts, reset credentials, restrict access, or take other steps reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, the Company, or third parties.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including:
- with service providers necessary to operate, secure, support, analyze, bill for, communicate about, and improve the Service, including AI processing, web search, hosting, database, analytics, communications, security, and payment-processing providers described in Section 3;
- at your direction or with your consent, including when you choose to share Outputs, invite users, submit information to support, or use integrations made available through the Service;
- as required by law, subpoena, court order, legal process, regulatory inquiry, or governmental request;
- to protect the rights, safety, security, property, integrity, or lawful interests of the Company, the Service, users, service providers, or third parties;
- to investigate, prevent, or respond to fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, violations of the Terms of Service, misuse of access codes, or unlawful activity;
- with professional advisors such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants, where reasonably necessary for business, legal, accounting, insurance, compliance, or dispute-resolution purposes;
- in connection with a business transaction, including a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, acquisition, assignment, brand/entity separation, future spin-off of the Florida Contractor Edge brand, transfer to an affiliate or successor entity, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and required notice; and
- in aggregated, de-identified, or statistical form that does not reasonably identify you.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, operate our business, comply with legal, tax, accounting, consumer-protection, security, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain evidence of consent, acceptance, billing, cancellation, and legal notices.
Unless a shorter or longer period is required or permitted by law, contract, security need, legal hold, or business necessity, our general retention schedule is:
| Category | General retention period |
|---|---|
| Account/profile data | While your account is active, then up to three (3) years after account closure or last activity unless needed longer for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes. |
| Inputs, uploaded files, Outputs, and usage history | While your account is active or until deleted through available product settings or a verified deletion request, then up to three (3) years where reasonably necessary for support, security, abuse prevention, disputes, or legal compliance. If a shorter product-specific retention period is adopted, that shorter period should be disclosed in the Service. |
| Billing, payment, tax, refund, and access-code records | Up to seven (7) years or the period required for tax, accounting, payment, chargeback, audit, and legal obligations. |
| Terms, Privacy Policy, checkout, auto-renewal, cancellation, consent, and acknowledgment records | At least four (4) years after the last transaction, subscription activity, account closure, or relevant dispute, and longer if needed to establish consent, authorization, or compliance. |
| Support, feedback, and communications records | Up to three (3) years after resolution or last communication, unless needed longer for legal, safety, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. |
| Security, authentication, fraud-prevention, and technical logs | Generally twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) months, unless needed longer for security investigations, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. |
| Privacy requests and deletion-request records | Up to four (4) years after completion or denial of the request, or longer if required by law or needed to document compliance. |
When information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, we will delete, de-identify, aggregate, or otherwise dispose of it in a reasonable manner, subject to backup, archival, legal-hold, security, and technical limitations.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your account information by contacting us at ai4contractors@fc-edge.com or through any account tools made available through the Service. You may manage or cancel your subscription through the account or billing portal made available through the Service, through the automated billing service used for your subscription, or by emailing ai4contractors@fc-edge.com.
You may unsubscribe from non-transactional marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. We may continue to send administrative, transactional, billing, legal, security, subscription, renewal, cancellation, and Service-related notices.
Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding to a privacy request. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including where retention is necessary for legal, tax, accounting, billing, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, compliance, free-expression, or contractual purposes. Where applicable law requires an appeal process or permits use of an authorized agent, we will follow those requirements.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it as required by law. Users must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service.
10. Florida and Other State Privacy Laws
The Service is operated by a Florida company and is designed primarily for users in Florida and the United States. As of the Effective Date, we do not believe we meet the applicability thresholds of the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or other comprehensive state privacy laws that apply only to larger covered businesses or businesses meeting specific revenue, consumer-volume, sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising thresholds.
Regardless of current statutory applicability, this Privacy Policy is intended to reflect general privacy-disclosure best practices. We will review our privacy-law obligations periodically and will update this Privacy Policy, provide additional state-specific disclosures, or provide additional choices if our operations, revenue, user base, data practices, advertising practices, or applicable law require doing so.
If you are a resident of a state that provides specific privacy rights applicable to the Company, you may contact us at ai4contractors@fc-edge.com to submit a request. We will process verified requests as required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means and will apply prospectively after the stated effective date. Where a change materially affects how we process personal information, we will provide notice and obtain consent where required by applicable law before applying the change.
The current version of this Privacy Policy will identify its effective date or last updated date. Your continued use of the Service after a revised Privacy Policy takes effect means that you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy, subject to any consent requirements that applicable law may impose.
